The Chair had decided that the Committee should consider the following item as a matter of urgency to allow updates and follow-up as appropriate.

 

 

Local Members reported that correspondence to residents about the implementation of the roll out of the Exmouth Residential Parking scheme due to commence August 2023 had not been sent as planned. The Officers advised that letters were planned to be sent in next few days, and local Members would receive a copy

(Councillors Bailey and Johns declared personal interests in relation to ENV6030-88 Road from Kings School Cross to Salston Corner and ENV6030-61 Patteson Close, Alfington by virtue of respectively a relative attending the King’s School and living in the vicinity)

 

The Committee considered the Report of the Director of Climate Change, Environment and Transport (CET/23/52) on submissions in response to the statutory consultation on the restrictions proposed in the East Devon area, as part of the local waiting restriction programme, which had been advertised from 10 May until the 2 June 2023.

 

A summary of the proposals advertised were detailed in Appendix 1 (with associated plans) and details of the objections received to the proposals, and the Officers’ responses were shown in Appendix 2 of the Report.

 

Following advertisement proposals which had not attracted objections would be implemented; and those which had received objections were detailed in Appendix 2, with recommendations for each location.

 

The respective local Members commented on the proposals. 

 

It was MOVED by Councillor Scott, SECONDED by Councillor Randall-Johnson and

 

RESOLVED

 

(a) that the local waiting restriction programme be noted; and

 

(b) that the recommendations contained in Appendix 2 of the Report be agreed subject to the following:

 

      (i)   ENV6030-29 Maer Vale, Exmouth

            pending a site visit, authority be delegated to the Director of Climate Change, Environment and Transport in consultation with the Chair and Local Members to determine the proposal;

      (ii)  ENV6030-123 Trefusis Place, Exmouth

            that, pending a site visit, authority be delegated to the Director of Climate Change, Environment and Transport in consultation with the Chair and Local Members to determine the proposal;

      (iii)  ENV6030-61 Patteson Close, Alfington

            that, pending a site visit, authority be delegated to the Director of Climate Change, Environment and Transport in consultation with the Chair and Local Members to determine the proposal.

 

      (iv)  ENV6030-163 Harepath Road, Seaton
that due to the absence of the local Member at the meeting, authority be delegated to the Director of Climate Change, Environment and Transport in consultation with the Chair and Local Members to determine the proposal.
