We the undersigned petition the council to We would like to see local grass verges within South Hams used to help aid declining insect numbers (in particular, pollinators). In order to do this we are requesting that verges be sown with wildflowers and allowed to grow as opposed to being kept as clipped grass.

Rotherham council have recently created over 8 miles of wildflowers on its grass verges. A saving of £25,000 has been reported in mowing costs over the past 4 years.
