Election of Chair

(NB: In accordance with the County Council’s Constitution, The Chair and Vice Chair must be County Councillors. Only County Councillors may vote)

Minutes:

It was MOVED by Councillor Gilbert and SECONDED by Councillor Hart        and

 

RESOLVED: that Councillor Croad be elected Chair for the ensuing year.

Election of Vice-Chair

(NB: In accordance with the County Council’s Constitution, The Chair and Vice Chair must be County Councillors. Only County Councillors may vote)

Minutes:

It was MOVED by Councillor Hart and SECONDED by Councillor Croad            and

 

RESOLVED: that Councillor Hawkins be elected Chair for the ensuing year.

4.

Totnes Rural Area Youth Engagement Project (TRAYE) - future agenda item

Items which in the opinion of the Chair should be considered at the meeting as a matter of urgency.

Minutes:

Members noted that the Locality (County) Committees were established across the county to meet as and when necessary, rather than on a regular basis, to (amongst other things):  receive briefings and discuss any specific service/community issues and projects within the district and develop and ensure effective partnership working with the District Council and other partners in the discharge of local functions.  The full Terms of Reference were available within the County Council’s Constitution (item 3b paragraph  9.19) (Public Pack)Agenda Document for Constitution, 28/05/2021 00:00 (devon.gov.uk)

 

A Member suggested a future agenda item to discuss amongst County and District Council colleagues was the work of the Totnes Rural Area Youth Engagement Project (TRAYE), which aimed to support the delivery of high quality youth work through youth activities,  projects and clubs, aiming to help and support all young people to develop their personal,  social and life skills. 

 

It was MOVED by Councillor Hodgson and SECONDED by Councillor Croad and

 

RESOLVED: that the work of the Totnes Rural Area Youth Engagement Project (TRAYE) be considered at the next/future meeting.
