*46 Matters of Urgency: Road Closure: Protocol

The Chairman had decided that the Committee should consider this item a matter of urgency in order that the Committee might consider the local County Councillor s concerns about the lack of timely consultation with local residents prior to road resurfacing works in Bonnington Grove.

It was MOVED by Councillor Owen, SECONDED by Councillor Westlake

RESOLVED that a report on the protocol for Road Closures prior to road resurfacing works be made to the next meeting of this Committee.

*47 Tithebarn Link Road:Traffic Regulation Order

(Mr Gannon attended the meeting under the Council s Public Participation Scheme and spoke to this item against the proposed Traffic Regulation Order)

The Committee considered the report of the Head of Highways, Capital Development and Waste (HCW/14/18 - text only | pdf HCW/14/18) on the proposed Traffic Regulation Orders on Tithebarn Lane, Gipsy Lane, Pinn Lane and the Tithebarn Link Road, as shown on drawing A10009/15 and on representation received in response to the proposed prohibition of motor vehicles on Pinn Lane (to the south of the Tithebarn Link Road).

It was MOVED by Councillor Morse, SECONDED by Councillor Owen and

RESOLVED

(a) that the responses to the advertised Traffic Regulation Orders be noted;

(b) that the Traffic Regulation Orders be made and sealed and the scheme be implemented as advertised.

[Note: In accordance with Standing Order 32 (2) Councillors Prowse and Winterbottom requested that their vote against and abstaining from voting on this decision respectively be recorded].
