A meeting of the East Devon Locality (County) Committee will be held at 11.30am or on the rising of the East Devon HATOC, whichever is the later, at the The Knowle, Sidmouth to consider the following matters.

1. Apologies for absence.

2. Minutes of the meeting held on 23 October 2014, attached (Page 1).

3. Items Requiring Urgent Attention

Items which in the opinion of the Chairman should be considered at the meeting as a matter of urgency.

4. NEW Devon CCG Eastern Locality Update

NEW Devon Clinical Commissioning Group to report.

5. People s Scrutiny Committee Child Sexual Exploitation Review and Member Development Sessions

The Safeguarding and Children Task Group initial report of the Child Sexual Exploitation Review recommended that a training programme on child sexual exploitation be given to all Members and appropriate officers.

Safeguarding Children training for Members led by David Simmons of the LGA will take place on the following dates at County Hall:

Tuesday 17 March 2015 at 10am

Monday 22 June 2015 at 10am

Specific training sessions on Child Sexual Exploitation will be led by Debs Barlow, Principle Social Worker on the following dates at County Hall:

Wednesday 25 March at 11am

Thursday 9 April at 2pm

Wednesday 29 April at 10am

Members are urged to attend both Safeguarding Children training sessions and one of the Child Sexual Exploitation sessions.

6. Local Member Updates

An opportunity for Members to update the Committee on community initiatives and responses to service changes in their own division.

In the event of the fire alarm sounding, leave the building immediately by the nearest available exit, following the fire exit signs. If doors fail to unlock press the Green breakglass next to the door. Do not stop to collect personal belongings, do not use the lifts, do not re-enter the building until told to do so.
