5. Emergency Planning for Communities in Devon
Presentation by Mr Richard Horne, Emergency Planning Manager and Mr Dom Maxwell-Batten, Emergency Planning Officer, Office of the Chief Executive, on current initiatives to encourage community emergency planning.
Members will be provided, at the meeting, with a copy of the presentation and:
an example of an community emergency plan (from Halwill Parish Council);
the strategy to encourage community emergency planning; and
relevant leaflets.
The presentation will develop some of the themes presented at the recent Extreme Events winter services conference held at the Met Office which some County Councillors attended.
6. Provision of Youth Services in East Devon
Presentation by Lisa Rutter Youth Service Team Leader, Children Young People s Services Directorate.
7. The Work of the Children s Trust in East Devon
