A meeting of the Standing Advisory Council For Religious Education (SACRE) will be held on the above date at 10.00am at County Hall, Exeter to consider the following matters.

4. Items Requiring Urgent Attention

Items which in the opinion of the Chairman should be considered at the meeting as matters of urgency.

5. Devon SACRE Membership

(a) to note the resignation of Mr J Marshall as Buddhist Community representative and his replacement by Myfynwy;

(b) to note the vacancy for a Church of England representative following Mrs T Griffiths resignation as Marjon representative;

(c) to consider appointing Mr J Marshall and Mr J Roberts, RE Adviser, as co-opted members of SACRE.

6. Update on SACRE Work

(a) Agreed Syllabus Review: Mr Roberts to report. The next meeting of the Steering Group will be held on Wednesday 27 November 2013 (2.00pm) at St Cuthbert s Conference Centre, Buckfast Abbey.

(b) Working Groups: Mr Pawson to report.

(c) SACRE Annual Report 2012/13: to note that the Annual Report will be submitted to the February 2014 SACRE.

To note that this conference will be held at Dillington House, Ilminster, Somerset on Thursday 20 March 2014 (draft programme attached - Page 9).

12. Future Meetings

(a) to note that the next SACRE meeting is due to be held on Tuesday 11 February 2014 (10.00am) and consider holding the meeting and the afternoon training session at St Cuthbert s Conference Centre, Buckfast Abbey;

(b) to consider fixing meetings for Tuesday 3 June 2014 and Wednesday 5 November 2014 (both 10.00am).
