A meeting of the Public Rights of Way Committee will be held on the above date at 2.00pm at County Hall, Exeter to consider the following matters.

5. Review of the Definitive Map Statement of Priorities

Report of the Head of Highways, Capital Development and Waste (HCW/15/12 - text only | pdf HCW/15/12) attached

(Page 11). This report outlines the current Definitive Map Statement of Priorities and

recommends policy change to take account of reduced staff resources within the Definitive

Map Team and to ensure that the Statement is clear, robust and achievable.

Parish of Chawleigh (Part 3)

Report of the Head of Highways, Capital Development and Waste (HCW/15/16 - text only | pdf HCW/15/16) attached (Page 59) and backgound papers. This report examines the remaining two proposals arising from the Definitive Map Review in the parish of Chawleigh. Proposals 2 and 5 were previously considered at the Public Rights of Way Committee in June 2014 and proposals 1 and 7 at the Public Rights of Way Committee in November 2014. Proposal 6 concerns a proposed extinguishment by way of a Public Path Order and will be dealt with under delegated powers.

7. Modification Orders

The following Modification Orders have been confirmed as unopposed:

(a) Footpath No. 4a, Sandford Definitive Map Modification Order 2014;

(b) Restricted Byway No. 52, Sandford No. 47, Copplestone Definitive Map Modification Order 2014;

(c) Bridleway No. 53, Sandford No. 7, Upton Hellions Definitive Map Modification Order 2014.

8. Public Path Orders

Diversion Orders

The following Public Path Orders have been made and confirmed under delegated powers:

(a) Footpath No. 79, Axminster Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2014;

(b) Footpath No. 5, Clyst St Lawrence Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2014;

(c) Footpath Nos. 15, West Anstey 27 Molland Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2014;

(d) Footpath No. 3, Powderham Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2013.

9. Date of Future Meetings

Wednesday 24 June 2015, Thursday 26 November 2015 and Thursday17 March 2016.

Public Participation

Any member of the public resident in the administrative area of the County of Devon may make a presentation on any proposed public footpath order being considered by the Committee. Any request to make a presentation must be made to the Chief Executive s Directorate, County Hall, Exeter by 12 noon on the third working day before the relevant meeting. The proceedings of this meeting may be recorded for broadcasting live on the internet via the Democracy Centre on the County Council s website. The whole of the meeting may be broadcast apart from any confidential items which may need to be considered in the absence of the press and public. In addition, anyone wishing to film part or all of the proceedings may do so unless the press and public are excluded for that part of the meeting or there is good reason not to do so, as directed by the Chairman. In the event of the fire alarm sounding, leave the building immediately by the nearest available exit, following the fire exit signs. If doors fail to unlock press the Green breakglass next to the door. Do not stop to collect personal belongings, do not use the lifts, do not re-enter the building until told to do so.
