Claimed Public Right of Way - Riverfront Road to the Foreshore and Green Lane, Exton

Report of the Head of Highways and Traffic Management (HTM/12/11 - text only | pdf HTM/12/11) (Page 77) arising from an initial claim in December 2007 by local residents in the village of Exton in the parish of Woodbury in East Devon District that Riverfront Road, having no current recorded highway status, should be recorded as a Byway Open to All Traffic, from A - B.

6. Public Inquiry, Informal Hearing and Written Representation Decisions; Directions and High Court Appeals

The following decisions and directions have been received from the Secretary of State:

Modification Order

Schedule 14 Application: Claimed bridleway along Westcott Lane - Parishes of Thelbridge and Washford Pyne (Page 90).

An appeal to the Secretary of State against this Committee s decision not to make an Order in respect of the above claim has been upheld and the County Council has been directed to make the following Order.

Recommended: that an Order be made to add a public bridleway along Westcott Lane past Westcott Farm and over the River Dalch (parish boundary) to Bridleway No. 9, Washford Pyne at Wonham Farm between points A - B - C - D as shown on drawing number ED/PROW/09/73.

7. Modification Orders

The following Modification Orders have been confirmed as unopposed:

(a) Footpath No. 25, Honiton Modification Order 2011 (Page 91).

(b) Footpath No. 170, Sidmouth Modification Order 2011 (Page 92).
