*5 Minutes

RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 11 June 2013 be signed as a correct record.

*6 Youth Service Provision in North Devon

In accordance with Standing Order 23(2) Councillor Chugg has requested that the Committee consider the arrangements for the public consultation meetings on the Youth Offer.

The Committee noted that consultation meetings had been arranged at The Cedars Inn, Barnstaple on 26 March and 9^th April at Caddsdown Business Park, Bideford where Members and public may ask the Cabinet Member and Head of Service questions about the current proposals and make suggestions about future possibilities

*7 Women s Refuge

In accordance with Standing Order 23(2) Councillor Chugg had requested that the Committee consider the latest position with regard to a contract for countywide support services for victims of domestic violence with Splitz Support Service (a charity providing support to survivors of domestic violence). As a result County Council funding support for the Women s Refuge in Barnstaple would cease and Members expressed the view that locality funding support could be considered to assist the Refuge whilst it sought other sources of funding.

It was MOVED by Councillor Greenslade, SECONDED by Councillor Mathews and

RESOLVED that support for the Refuge be agreed in principle and that Members give consideration to funding assistance from their locality budgets.
