Reason for urgency:
In line with the Council’s Constitution and the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012, agreement has been sought from the Chair of the relevant Scrutiny Committee (Children’s Scrutiny Committee) to deal with the above matter as an urgent matter (special urgency) at the next Cabinet Meeting on 11 October 2023, in Part II of the meeting.

In line with the principles of the Regulations (5(6), 10 and 11) to this matter needs to be dealt with at the above meeting, but the required notice has not been given in the Council’s Forward Plan or for it to be considered in Part II of the meeting.

The reasons for consideration of this matter are that a provider has given notice and the matter is therefore time critical.

The Chair of the Children’s Scrutiny Committee is satisfied that the decision is of special urgency and that it cannot reasonable be deferred.
